Mint and Christmas go together like, well, egg nog and Christmas.
So, what would there be not to love about “mint chips.” Looking for a quick and easy one for Christmas, try these!
- ½ cup almond slices
- 2 tablespoons butter
- one package of mint chocolate chips.
- Brown ½ cup almond slices in butter in a skillet. Set aside. Empty one package of Mint Chocolate Chips (Toll House) on parchment paper on an 8 x 11 cookie sheet. Bake for 2-3 minutes, or until glossy, in a 325 degree oven. Take out and smear with a knife to blend green and chocolate colors. Sprinkle toasted almonds over the top and jostle the pan to be sure the nuts adhere to the chocolate. Chill for 1 hour. When cool, break into pieces.
