It is the weekend on Amish365 which means one thing: trending recipes!

Let's see which recipes are registering with readers this week.

    🍲 Trending Amish Suppers

Easy Hobo Supper: This is an easy, delicious supper. Here is more about it:  I remember hearing stories when I was a kid about hobos that passed through our town during the Depression.  My great-grandmother's house was near a rail line and apparently they discovered my great-grandmother was a good cook with a kind heart. Hobos would stop by her house for a meal.  One of them scrawled a small arrow on the sidewalk in front of her house so other hobos would know this was a safe stop.  I imagine that the type of supper this recipe made was popular with hobos and hobo hostesses alike because it was hearty, easy-to-assemble, and could feed a quick crowd.  That's probably the qualities that eventually made the recipe appealing in Amish kitchens. Many Amish cookbooks contain a hobo supper or two. Click here for the recipe.

Delicious Coca-Cola Chicken: This is a good one, check it out here.

    Amish Upside-down pizza

Amish Upside-Down Pizza: This is an amazing supper. It has appeal during the winter, but also does well during summer picnic season, which is upon us. Click here for the recipe.

    🌽 Amish Side Dish Recipes

Amish Corn Bake: Corn is a delicious Amish dish, full of flavor and color.   At a family gathering or a holiday supper, corn is usually a crowd-pleaser.  Whether it is simply cooked and buttered or baked and battered, corn is a delicious side dish. This Amish corn bake is simple, fast, and flavorful, coming to us from an Amish cook in Holmes County, Ohio.

    Delicious

Chunky Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Salad: This is a super recipe, here is a bit about it:

Chunky Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Salad is a great recipe and with so many end-of-summer picnics coming up, I thought I'd share it. I know everyone has their own special potato salad formulation but if you are open to experiment, this is a great one to try!  I've seen this recipe posted online, but it was first sent to me by an Amish woman from the Ronks, Pennsylvania area.  This is a potato salad with a classic Pennsylvania Dutch culinary influence.  The apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard are tell-tale signs. Click here for the recipe.

    🍨 Trending Amish Dessert Recipes

Mennonite Freezer Cookies: These cookies are super. Read more about it here: These Mennonite freezer cookies were a great one to make with my girls because they were so easy. We had all the ingredients on hand, mixed, kneaded, rolled and popped it into the freezer.  Do be careful of the baking.  I didn't think they looked done at 10 minutes, so I let them go to 15 minutes when the edges were turning golden.  I thought those were too done for my taste.  I should have taken them after 10.  They are a very "plain" cookie (What you can your expect with this ingredient list?), but with some frosting, then it's a really nice cookie. Click here for the recipe.

    Crispy Ice Cream Sandwiches

Crispy Ice Cream Sandwiches: What a delicious recipe. Perfect for a hot summer day, easy and refreshing. Click here.

Summer Peach-Blackberry Crisp: Another wonderful, refreshing summer recipe. Click here for this great dessert!
