    🥗 Trending Amish Salads

Amish Cranberry Salad: This is delicious The Amish are no different than anyone else when it comes to seasonal food traditions.  Like most people, cranberries show up on Amish tables about once a year: Thanksgiving. Click here for the recipe!

    🥖 Trending Amish Breads

    Amish One-Hour Dinner Rolls

One-Hour Dinner Rolls: This popular recipe always gets the attention of readers this time of year. Here is a bit more about this one:

These easy One-Hour Amish Dinner Rolls are perfect, because, as the name implies they are quick and a busy Amish baker needs something that won't take a day to make. So if you are looking for homemade dinner rolls for Thanksgiving, these are a great option. These easy dinner rolls take just one hour! This recipe has been a favorite on Amish365.com for decades

    🍲 Trending Amish Sides

Amish Farmhouse Corn Casserole: This is delicious. Read more about it here: Corn dishes are very popular on Amish Thanksgiving tables.  Corn adds color and depth to the variety of foods served and, man, count me as a corn fan.  Corn bulked up with cracker crumbs and flavored with butter and salt....heaven...and this corn casserole fits that bill.   And, for me, it does one better..it uses "creamed corn."  I don't think I've eaten creamed corn in 30 years.  My grandmother would always buy cans of it for me when I was a kid because she knew I liked it. Just for nostalgia's sake I may have to get some someday. So if you are looking for a popular, easy side dish for your Thanksgiving table, look no further.  Click here for the recipe.

Amish Ranch Potato Casserole: This dish is amazing. Here is more about it: The bacon will crisp up even more as the casserole bakes, and that is fine. It's all delicious! If I could do it over again, I might add some more ranch. Also, Gloria notes that she makes her own cream of mushroom soup and her own ranch for this recipe. All of that would probably make it that much better, but for most home cooks, you can just buy those foods to add in to your Amish Ranch Potato Casserole. Click here for the recipe.

    🦃 Trending Amish Main Dishes

Emma Miller's Mock Turkey: If you are not having a big gathering and you don't feel like shelling out big bucks for a bird, perhaps you could try a "mock turkey." This is where Emma Miller's Amish Mock Turkey comes in.

By the way, "mock" recipes are popular among the Amish. Why? Because, historically, they've been a very isolated people (not so much anymore), so cooking was very much based on what you had on hand. Click here for Emma Miller's Mock Turkey.

    🥧 Trending Amish Desserts

Amish Cinnamon Pie: You always need to have at least one other pie at the big meal. This would be an excellent one: This is one of these easy "Great Depression" desserts which are common in Amish kitchens, especially the kitchens of old-timers.  Younger Amish cooks seem to be losing their interest in such recipes, so I think it's great that we can post and preserve them on this website for future generations.  This recipe comes to me from an Amish woman in northern Michigan. Click here for the recipe.

    Best Amish Pumpkin Pie Squares

Amish Pumpkin Pie Squares: This is a delicious pumpkin pie alternative. Nice bite-sized pieces of pumpkin. Click here for the recipe.

Amish Peanut Butter Pie: Nothing fancy in a peanut butter pie,but the right blend of ingredients and TLC can create a creamy, smooth, silky bliss in a crust. Probably my favorite Amish inspired peanut pie is found at Yoder's Restaurant in Sarasota, Florida.  Wow, they have some amazing, amazing peanut butter pie!  The filling is sweet, but not overpowering and all encased in a flaky, but not domineering crust.
