Spring means rhubarb in Amish Country.  One of my first memories when I started exploring Amish communities a quarter century or more ago was the tart taste and smell of rhubarb that drifted through the air this time of year.

AMISH RHUBARB SCHOOLHOUSE DESSERT:   This is a delicious, classic recipe from our Amish Cook columnist.  Click here to enjoy.

RHUBARB CRUNCH -  This is a recipe that is pretty ubiquitous in Amish kitchens this time of year, a classic crumb top with ooey, gooey rhubarb filling. Click here to enjoy.

HOMEMADE RHUBARB BARS:   Mmmmmm, need I say more?  Click here.

RHUBARB PUDDING -  I like about any pudding, but make it rhubarb and I'm in heavenly bliss! Click here.

AMISH RHUBARB COFFEECAKE:  A perfect spring morning dessert cake!  Click here.

I really love Rhubarb, but unfortunately the one outlet closed when the farmer decided he could not longer take care of the patch and plowed it under. What a waste. Used to get it by the bags full clean cut and freeze till needed. Stewed or pie I did not care. Have been unable to find any near Noblesville, IN since
