With the holidays coming, that means plenty of family and holiday gatherings. And that means the need for dips, spreads, and appetizers in general. You'll want to include Amish "Bacon Cheese Dip" on your menu. Yum. Spread it on some crackers and you're good to go.
The only caveat I'll add to this recipe: it'll taste fine with whatever bacon you use, but the average Amish homemaker will be using thick cut fresh bacon from their own farm-raised hogs. You can't emphasize enough how much ingredient freshness adds to flavor. So when choosing your bacon, try to get the locally-raised kind as opposed to just a mass-produced supermarket kind. Enjoy!
