    Amish Hawaiian bread? hmmm

    Amish Hawaiian bread? hmmm

    By Kevin Williams

This is day two of our Amis365/Patchwork quilt recipe week.  There is an "Amish cookbook" out there by Georgia Verozza that has been selling quite a few copies.  I kind of scratch my head at its success because (truly, I'm not being unkind, just making a legitimate observation) coming from an Italian family, that sure sounds like an Italian name. Now, perhaps her maiden name was Yoder and she married a Verozza and comes from a long line of Amish cooks.  It's possible, I just have no idea.

Hawaiian bread is not something I've run into much (at all) in Amish kitchens so, again, I kind of wonder.  But Patricia's rendition of the recipe looks delicious and I love Hawaiian bread, so click here for the recipe!
