Amish Breads
One of my first experiences with Amish baking, was entering an Amish kitchen decades ago and watching some bakers kneading dough, shaping the elastic, softness into loaves. Homemade bread is central to Amish baking traditions and their culture overall. Nothing can bring together families like a loaf of homemade bread, even better if it's warm and slathered with butter or apple butter. A loaf of bread can feed a family with sandwiches, soups, and even dessert. But, among the Amish, a plain loaf of white bread is just the beginning, bread is a form of dessert: braided, twisted, smothered in caramel icing, bread can be sweet (like our famous Amish365 homemade strawberry bread) or savory, like tomato bread, and anything in between. So no matter what your bread craving is, you can probably find something you like on Amish365.com!
