Summer in Flat Rock, Illinois where the Amish Cook calls home!
An Amish school in Adams County, Ohio
By Kevin Williams
Hot dogs are not something consumer a ton, in my experience, among the Amish. They usually have plenty of fresh pork on hand. But hot dogs are sort of a novelty item and you'll see them ground up in meat dishes or served on the grill at picnics sometimes
This is a recipe I found in an old, no-longer published Mennonite cookbook. I wish I had a photo of it to share, but I had to share the recipe with you. Enjoy!
