Meanwhile, to the rest of the news:
DUTCH WAGON AMISH MARKET: Interesting article...a bit fawning, I mean, I am sure the store is great, but, geez, the reporter seem to gush a bit too much about it. Not being negative, just pointing out the writer perhaps veering into romanticizing the Amish a bit much. But if you are in Burlington County, New Jersey, this sounds like a fun place to stop and shop.
HORSES VS. HOUSES: In Lancaster County you have more and more Amish people moving into traditional subdivisions, but they want to bring their horses with them. HORSES VS. CARS: And the cars almost always come out better....read more about the Amish and car-buggy safety in this interesting article in the Detroit News. Click here to read more.
MENNONITES IN MEXICO: I didn't know there were Old Order Mennonite settlements on the Yucatan penninsula. But, like here in the USA, the Plain population is growing and that means staking out new territory. Click here to read more.
AMISH COUNTRY LAYERED BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE DESSERT: Man, this sounds good, from Ohio Amish Country chef Lee Ann Miller. Check out this amazing recipe!
