Kind of slim pickin's this week in the Blogosphere in search of everything and anything Plain, but here are a few items that caught my eye and are worth a look.
Briana Thomas's Pumpkin Donuts
HOMEMADE PUMPKIN DONUTS: Briana Thomas is an extraordinarily talented young writer and photographer who is a Plain Mennonite. Her website often gears recipes towards the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan. SIGH, I've said before, I could use a Trim Healthy Dada plan. Anyway, these donuts look divine and if you are willing to follow her instructions you'll be rewarded with these delicious treats! Click here to read more and get the recipe.
AUTUMN IN AMISH COUNTRY: Bruce Stambaugh always has superb posts, this is a link to a gorgeous beginning of autumn photo in Ohio's Amish country.
LIGHT BROWN FARMER'S BREAD: You'll never go wrong with a recipe from Mennonite Girls Can Cook, check out this bread recipe here.
PUMPKIN SQUARES: This is a website that focuses on New York's Mennonite community, check out this tasty, seasonal recipe here!
STRAW HATS: Ever wonder where Amish men get those straw hats they wear? LaVonne DuBois attempts an answer here...
Carol Lukaszewicz
